About Us

The Southern California User Group (SCUG) is a non-profit regional user group (RUG) which facilitates communication and networking among Oracle, Oracle's customers and Oracle's Business Partners.  Our core user group members are customers of Oracle's J.D. Edwards  software, whose companies are located in the Southern California area. We also have certified Oracle Business Partner members who participate and provide valuable content at our quarterly meetings. 


SCUG is affiliated with the Quest International Users Group, a 55,000+ international community for Oracle's JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and Cloud Applications users, proven to help Oracle customers achieve higher satisfaction with their Oracle product by leveraging education, networking and advocacy in this user-led, user-driven community.  RUGs like ours are an extension of the Quest community, run by volunteer customer members, with the added purpose of meeting locally in a more intimate atmosphere and venue.  Quest supports the user groups with an online user community, online content and education, and major annual conferences.  Quest and SCUG are run separately and have separate membership costs and offerings. 


SCUG sponsors (4) quarterly meetings per year and other special events as needed. At each of the meetings you will be presented with an Oracle Update,  a Quest and SCUG report and education breakout sessions related to Oracle JD Edwards product lines and exhibitors hall. We also feature roundtable discussion groups where often you can find solutions to solve business problems at your company.  And not to be left out, plenty of great food and prizes throughout the day!
